Service Description

Mechanical Maintenance -Strip down and rebuild rotation head / rotary drive -Service or replace feed motors and gearboxes -Inspect and repair pulldown / feed system -Replace wear plates, bushes, and pins -Service drill string handling systems -Change out filters (fuel, oil, air) Hydraulic Systems -Replace hydraulic hoses and fittings -Inspect and change hydraulic cylinders (feed, mast lift, jacks) -Service hydraulic pumps and motors -Flush hydraulic systems and change oil -Check pressures and recalibrate systems -Fix leaks Electrical & Control Systems -Inspect / change wiring looms and connectors -Test and replace sensors and limit switches -Diagnose faults in control systems / PLCs -Maintain battery systems and alternators -Check lighting and safety circuits Structural & Framework -Inspect mast/boom for cracks or fatigue -Weld repairs on frames, guards, and mounts -Check tramming frame and articulation points -Inspect handrails, walkways, and guarding Undercarriage / Mobility (For track-mounted rigs) -Inspect and replace track chains, rollers, and sprockets -Service / change final drives -Check /change tramming motors and gearboxes -Change/ Align and tension tracks Air System (for DTH rigs) -Service / change air compressors -Inspect and replace air lines and valves -Drain moisture from system -Check operating pressures Engine & Powerpack -Full service on diesel engine -Replace belts, filters, and fluids -Inspect radiators and cooling systems -Check turbochargers and exhaust systems Safety Systems -Test emergency stops -Inspect fire suppression systems -Check isolation systems (lockout/tagout points) -Ensure guarding is compliant Cleaning & Inspection -Degrease and pressure wash rig -Clean engine bay and hydraulic areas -Remove dust buildup (important in mining environments) Compliance & Reporting -Complete maintenance logs -OEM inspection checklists (e.g., 250hr / 500hr / major shutdown) -Identify future defects -Update service history Major Component Changeouts -Engine swap -Hydraulic pump replacements -Rotation head changeout -Mast rebuild or replacement
